Demo Day at the Harrington Gallery
It was a bright and stormy night...HA! It was a bright and lovely day for a Demo at the Harrington Gallery at the Firehouse Art Center in Pleasanton. Sydney opened the back doors for me, so I could use my heat gun to use during the demo. It was the perfect thing to do, because the back of the Gallery has 2 large double doors that open to Neal Street and to the foot traffic of downtown Pleasanton. On Saturdays there is a Farmers Market so having demos on Saturdays at the Harrington Gallery is a perfect invitation to those walking by. I had a trickling of people coming over and engaging with me with my Encaustic Process throughout the day. Educating people about the Art of Encaustic painting, is important to me, because only then can one realize all that goes into making these pieces. It was a successful demonstration day. Thank you to all that came by and got to witness my process and enjoy the gallery full of New Pieces on display during the Fall Exhibition of PAL - Pleasanton Art League Member show. The exhibition will be up for a month with continued demonstrations in a variety of mediums to share with you.
