Toolbox Rebels: Mark Making with a Twist

Toolbox Rebels: Mark Making with a Twist

Reimagine the potential of everyday objects as tools for creating extraordinary marks. Advance past familiar expressive methods to discover fresh mark making possibilities. Dietlind Vander Schaaf, Karen Buttwinick and Melissa Stephens will showcase how everyday objects, paired with dynamic materials, can be transformed into richly layered encaustic surfaces—enhanced with bold carvings and dramatic visual and tactile textures.

Deepen your practice by integrating additional media, including inks, watercolor pencils and crayons, graphite and more - to refine and accentuate your marks.
