Martha Colson
I began painting at the age of 70, discovering my passion for art after caring for my husband when he was ill. With brothers working in the arts, I wanted to see if I had also inherited the artistic gene. I am a firm believer that it’s never too late to try something new.
Once I picked up a paint brush, I knew that I would never put it down. Oil painting was my first love, but one year later, I was hooked on encaustic painting. I am now 80 years old, and still going strong.
