Whether it be welding, photography, acrylic or encaustic painting, I find art serves as an effective medium to explore themes relating to the political, natural and built environment. I am an East Bay-based artist who explores these themes by integrating color relationships, texture, composition and space.

I'm an artist & outdoor enthusiast living in Alameda, CA. Encaustic painting allows me to 'tinker' with elements of nature, layers, & texture and explore themes of memory in my work.
I am a retired family physician living in Pleasanton, CA. I am learning how to incorporate my love of mixed media into encaustic arts.
Gold’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in the Chicago area as well as in California, Massachusetts and New York. In the summer of 2002, he completed a chimpanzee mural as part of the Hubbard Street Mural Project in Chicago.
Born and raised in Israel and moved to the US as a young adult.
Growing up, Goren always created and observed art but only as an adult she recognized art as her calling, to be an artist.
I’ve been working in encaustic medium for about 12 years, and am captivated by this ancient medium using beeswax.
I’m a mixed media artist who explores the contradictions within us. We feel private, yet exposed; we feel energized, yet possess an inner stillness; we constantly question yet feel sure. I’m fascinated by our relationship to the universe and the divine.
Kim captures the feeling of connectedness in nature in process oriented art relating to her formal training as a metalsmith and work as a midwife. She lives and paints in Oakland and continues to work in community health.
Hildie is a mixed-media artist and professional restoration ecologist based in Sacramento, California.

Growing up in rural coastal Marin County nature has always been an important part of my life.
I am a mixed media encaustic artist incorporating my own photographs and oil paints into my work.
I’m a retired Bay Area photojournalist now incorporating my photography into encaustic art. At the beginning of covid I moved from San Francisco back to Santa Cruz when I discovered encaustic and fell in love with it.

I am an artist and designer living in Santa Cruz, California. The inspiration for my work comes from travel and my memories of the unique and undisturbed places I have been to as well as the inspiring landscape of the Pacific coast.
I live in Santa Rosa, CA where I was born and raised. After retiring from kindergarten teaching I started focusing on my own art again.
