I love to educate my viewers about the encaustic medium while discovering how my visual interpretations resonate with them. My paintings are heartfelt abstractions set to real life experiences. They are my visual responses to what is happening in the world, created with an intimacy that leaves room for reflection and introspection. Language, word relationships, story and traditions inspire me. As a result, I often utilize various handwriting techniques, text and asemic writing. Asemic writing is the imagery of text without language.
