Express yourself with molten wax in this encaustic painting class that is perfect for beginners. This experience is for those with adventurous spirits, curious minds, and an affinity for fun!


Melissa Stephens is an artist, whose positive and friendly approach to teaching will ease you into this delightfully creative medium. This art workshop includes a brief history lesson that leads attendees to all of the tools and supplies used to create and play with color. Melissa shares examples of her artwork so that students can safely work with this molten medium and all that it encompasses.


Demonstrations include: board preparation, brushing and fusing techniques, texture building, carving, various mark making and more! This class is a great way to spark your imagination as you try something completely new. Perfect for sharing ideas and creativity during a team-building event, an anniversary celebration, or just a fun day out with friends.


No previous art experience necessary. Must be 18+ years of age.
