Burning shellac on encaustic paint creates a beautiful webbed pattern. It adds visual interest, shine and definition to encaustic art. Join Melissa Stephens in her art studio for this 5-hour class and be amazed by what you can do! Explore using Melissa's tips and tricks of adding greater dimension to your paintings with ink!

Demonstrations and specialized instruction make it easy to learn how to work with drying times and heating tools. This class recently expanded to include more techniques than ever before! Explore and experiment with different brushes, gravity pours, metallic ink, drip lines and needle nosed applicators. And move beyond the basics to discover how to successfully mix shellac colors, write or draw with shellac and alter results by adding other media to your paintings. There will be a focus on layering to enhance your painting.

No previous art experience necessary. Must be 18+ years of age.
